Sara is currently a Junior Researcher contracted in the scope of the R&D Project DrosuGreen.

Sara Sario is a Junior Researcher (Doctorate) at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. BSc in Biology (UTAD), MSc in Health Sciences Biotechnology (UTAD), and Ph.D. in Biology (UP). In the last 5 years, she carried out her research work in the area of plant pests within the scope of her Ph.D. thesis titled "A molecular approach to the bioecology of Drosophila suzukii in Portugal: new opportunities to sustainable pest control". She is currently a member of LAQV/REQUIMTE.
She has experience on the organization of scientific events, dissemination, and conceptualization of R&D and PhD projects. She published 16 articles on international journals (Scopus H-index = 5).
