Carlos Barros is an early-career researcher with a background in Applied Biology (University of Minho) and Microbiology (University of Aveiro). His research interests focus on microbial ecology, microbiomes and plant–microbe interactions, with experience in next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics. He is currently a researcher in the BiomeHealth project where he contributes to research on crop health, pathogen detection, and microbiome-based solutions for sustainable agriculture.
