Dr. Leal holds an international Ph.D. cum laude in Sustainable Management of Grapevine Trunk Diseases, jointly awarded by the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (France) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). Her scientific career has been dedicated to understanding plant–microbe interactions and developing environmentally friendly strategies for viticulture and crop protection. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Phytobiomes Journal, Plant Disease, and Pest Management Science, and has received distinctions for her presentations at international conferences. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, she integrates microbiology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics to advance sustainable agriculture and promote the use of nature-based solutions to enhance plant health and resilience.
