Ribeiro is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), where he also obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on marine peptides at CIIMAR, contributing to projects focused on drug synthesis and biochemical analysis. He previously completed an internship at Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands), where he investigated protein–protein interactions in Aspergillus fumigatus and developed strong laboratory skills in PCR, electrophoresis, pull-down assays, and cell culture.
Currently, Ribeiro is involved in the EU-funded BiomeHealth project, and his Master’s thesis focuses on the identification and evaluation of biological control agents for Fire Blight of pear (Erwinia amylovora) using synthetic microbial communities.
