Antonella is a Ph.D. student in Plant and Animal Sciences at the University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy). She holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Biotechnology and has worked at the Agricultural Genetics Laboratory, where she learned molecular biology techniques. Currently, her research activity is in plant pathology and concerns new approaches to understand the etiology of Kiwifruit Vine Decline Syndrome (KVDS). It has involved traditional microbiological techniques and the development of a pipeline for a barcoding approach to characterize the rhizosphere microbiome of plants affected by KVDS. The preliminary results of this study won her the "Best Poster Award SIPaV 2023". In 2023, she contributed to the writing of a popular science book published by Feltrinelli.
